Fraikin Tachomaster Installation Notes

The following notes are intended to guide you through the successful download and installation of Fraikin Tachomaster. You may find it helpful to print these notes for reference, before downloading the software. In case of difficulty, support is available by calling our support line on 01923 469222. Support is available on this number between the hours of 0800 and 1830.

To ensure successful installation, please ensure that your anti-virus software is turned off before installing the software. You should ensure that your anti-virus software is enabled again as soon as installation has been completed.
Your Firewall may ask whether to allow Fraikin Tachomaster to access the Internet. Please say yes to this prompt to allow the software to contact the Fraikin Tachomaster server to store your records.

When first run, Fraikin Tachomaster will check to see whether or not you have Microsoft .NET installed. .NET is a vital component, needed for Fraikin Tachomaster to work, so if asked whether you would like to install it please click Yes. Microsoft .NET will then be installed followed by Fraikin Tachomaster. When you next restart your PC, if you previously started Windows and it went straight to your Desktop, you will now be required to "log in" as a user. This is because an additional user has been added, created by .NET, to protect your personal data.
This is a security feature built in to .NET and a simple click on your name will take you to your Desktop as usual.

The Fraikin Tachomaster Install Wizard will take you through installing the software, below are screen shots of this process:

The first window you see will be similar to this:

please select Save, and when downloaded double click the installation file.

You may next see this Security Warning

please click Run.

please click OK.

Fraikin Tachomaster will now check that Microsoft .NET is installed. If it is not, you will see this message

please click Yes to continue the installation of Microsoft .NET.

You will now be asked to agree the License Agreement before continuing

please select "I agree" and click Install.

Microsoft .NET will now be installed

A confirmation of successful installation of Microsoft .NET will then be shown

The Fraikin Tachomaster installation will now begin

The Fraikin Tachomaster Setup Wizard will guide you through installation

please click Next to continue.

Next you will be asked where to install the software. If you are unsure of this step just accept the defaults and click Next. Clicking Disk Cost will confirm that your drive has enough space for the Fraikin Tachomaster files. You can check this by reading the "available" and "required" columns.

IMPORTANT: Please ensure the "Everyone" option is selected before you click Next.

The progress of the installation will be shown

You have now successfully installed Fraikin Tachomaster. Please double click the icon on your Desktop to start the software. Comprehensive Help is included once you have logged in.
